All furnishings are made by the hands of our master craftsmen under the supervision of world renowned artist H. J. Nick using only the finest materials. We use no paste boards, veneers, core boards or faux materials and have no unfinished backs or undersides.

This process begins with you and your family personalizing each piece with your own special design requests. H. J. Nick supervises the details and drafting process with his design team, and upon your approval, we then build your product. Once you receive your item, you can enjoy it secure in the knowledge it will increase in value and become a cherished family heirloom that is guaranteed to stand the test of time.


Genuine Solid Wood Door Blades Are Available Any Size And Any Style Any Thickness All species of woods are available , hand hewn, doweled, and tenon joined with a steel reinforced core.


You May Have Your Door Pr-Hung In A Structural Jamb Solid cedar 3" thick structural jamb with 1" thick rabbeted door stop. Side lights are prepared to accept 1/4" thick up to 1" thick thermal glass depending upon your glass choice. These jambs are ideal for log homes or post and beam construction and allow logs or beams to shrink while staying straight and plumb. You may order jambs any depth to accommodate your log size. They are also ideal for conventional wood frame homes and masonry construction as well.


Order Any Style Or Thickness Glass, Thermal, Decrotive ETC. All glass panels are also available argon gas filled, low E, or laminated for hurricane codes. Please note that at altitudes of 4500 feet or higher that breathing tubes are required and to specify your altitude with your representative. We offer all types and thickness of glass and samples of the decorative glasses are available.


Order Hand Carving In Heavy Detail Exterior And Interior. All carving is done by the hands of our master carvers. You may choose from light detail silhouettes, medium detail or heavy detail H. J. Nick original work to make your carving look as detailed as possible. This door is also detail carved on the interior side. You may furnish your art work to be carved or we can offer choices and create your dream art work derived from many sources.

Order Hand Rubbed Furniture Finish:s Color As Shown: Walnut Outdoor Oil. Our processes include five to ten coats of hand rubbed furniture quality clear oils or water based non-toxic lacquers, depending on your finish choice (choose from over 400 standard stain colors or computer color match). Most of our finishes are water based and earth friendly.


Fine Finish Information: Important details about our finish process: patinas, sealants and wood finishes.


Rabbeted Stop: This 1" thick door stop is a permanent part of this structural jamb. It is created by cutting a dado cut into the jamb, to receive and seal the door in a closed position.


Self Closing, Tension Adjustable Hinges: These hinges can be adjusted from 0-10 depending on the speed at which you wish your door to self close. You may also choose not to set the self closing tension.


Adjustable Tension, Roller Style Door Latch: This ensures that your door will not open in windy conditions even when the lock is not set. The roller pressure to strike plate can be adjusted to allow the push and pull resistance to be to your personal choice.


Dead Bolt: This special dead bolt lock is built for our 3" to 7" thick doors. It is high strength tungsten steel and is almost impossible to breech allowing for the best security available. You may order single cylinder (thumb turn interior) or double cylinder (keyed both sides).


Mortise Lock Heavy Duty: This special heavy duty mortise lock is produced by one of the worlds top lock manufacturers specially for our extra thick solid wood doors. This style of lock requires a large mortised pocket to allow for the steel lock mechanism to fit inside the door edge. Also the mounting plates and locking bolt are larger than that of a standard dead bolt. This type of lock allows for additional strength and security. It is high strength tungsten steel and is almost impossible to breech allowing for the best security available. You may order single cylinder (thumb turn interior) or double cylinder (keyed both sides).


Weather Package: Every door ordered pre-hung in its jamb is fitted with high density weather seals installed ensuring the best protection from the elements.


Self Sealing Mechanical Sweep: This sweep is installed in the bottom of your 3"-7" thick door and automatically raises and lowers as you open and close the door. This sweep also comes with an adjustable pressure turn that you may adjust to ensure a precise seal every time. This type of sweep retracts into the bottom of the door as it opens to clear your interior entrance rug or flooring.


Adjustable Heavy Duty Crush Proof Threshold: This adjustable saddle threshold allows for a perfect seal when you close your door keeping the weather elements and creatures out. ADA compliant and commercial thresholds available.
